Plant Collection Network

The BSA has been coordinating the Plant Collection Network (Netzwerk Pflanzensammlungen - NWPS) since 1 June 2017. It originally emerged from a project of the German Horticultural Society 1822 e.V. (DGG), which was funded by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity. The DGG has been involved in a supporting role since the end of the project.
The final report of the project can be downloaded from the project organiser's website at the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) under the funding code 2810BM014 (BLE - Project funding - Project search).
A platform was created by the network where alle plant collectors can exchange ideas and make contacts. It also gives private collectors the opportunity to increase the visibility of their own collections and publish existing information. Fort hat purpose they can create a profile on the NWPS website, present their collection and publish their collection data in the NWPS database.
In addition, collectors have the opportunity to become supporting partners of the DGZ via the Plant Collection Network and thus contribute their experience and knowledge.
Besides to participating in regular events, you can subscribe to a newsletter with current information and articles on topics relating to plant the Plant Collection Network and the DGZ.
If you are interested in a partnership, or if you have any questions about the Plant Collection Network, please contact the coordination centre:
