The Bundessortenamt raises costs for expenditures conformable to § 12 section 1 of National Fee Law (BGebG) in case that those costs are not covered by fees and expenditures defined in the Special Fee Law (BMELBGebV).

These are e.g. costs for getting information concerning about other than your own varieties and extracts from National List, Plant Breeders Rights or other documents.
