Getting here

By car:

The Federal Plant Variety Office testing station at Nossen is easy to access as it is close to the Nossen motorway junction (A14 and A4).

Travelling from the north (A14):

Exit the A14 at “Nossen Nord” and continue on the B175 towards Nossen. When you reach Nossen, follow the B175 across the Freiberger Mulde river and the railway. You will then reach a roundabout. Take the first exit (right) towards Roswein/Waldheim. Continue on Waldheimer Straße towards OT Altzella until you have gone over a gated level crossing. After about 100 m, you will see an exit on the left-hand side with a ’BUNDESSORTENAMT’ sign. This is the entrance to the Nossen testing station.

Travelling from the south (A4):

If you are travelling on the A4, take the ‘Siebenlehn’ exit and continue on the B101 towards Nossen. Approx. 300 m after passing the sign for Nossen, turn left towards Döbeln/Roswein/Kloster Altzella. At the end of this road, after around 1000 m, turn left onto Waldheimer Straße towards Roswein/Kloster Altzella and continue on this road. After you have passed over a gated level crossing, you will see an exit on the left-hand side with a ’BUNDESSORTENAMT’ sign after approx. 100 m. This is the entrance to the Nossen testing station.
