Testing on behalf of the Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO)

Since the adoption of Regulation (EC) No. 2100/94 on Community plant variety rights, it has been possible since 1995 to obtain plant breeders’ rights on an EU-wide basis. The Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO), based in Angers in France, is responsible for granting community plant breeders’ rights. Community plant breeders’ rights are effective in all member states.
