Training duration: 3 years, with only one year (either 2nd or 3rd year) taking place at the Federal Plant Variety Office
Training start date: 01/08
Type of training: Dual vocational training at the site and vocational school
Training locatio: Scharnhorst testing station
Tasks:
- Varied work in plant cultivation, including soil cultivation, sowing, maintenance, fertilisation, plant protection measures and harvesting crops
- Using and operating of agricultural machines and tools
- Planning operational connections and processes
- Servicing, maintenance and basic repairs to machines
Profile:
- At least qualified lower secondary school leaving certificate and one year’s study at an agricultural college
- Good skills in science and mathematics
- Enjoyment in working with plants and interest in nature and the environment
- Manual and technical skills
- Independence, flexibility, reliability and sense of responsibility
- Driving licence Class L is essential. Class T (large tractors) is even better.
