Federal Plant Variety Office guidelines for the transfer of results from agricultural VCU testing and variety testing to data storage media

The “Federal Plant Variety Office guidelines for the transfer of results from agricultural VCU testing and variety testing to data storage media” provided here supplement the “Guidelines for conducting agricultural VCU testing and variety testing” and replace the edition published in 2000.

The point of contact for data processing questions on data transfer at the Federal Plant Variety Office is Section 101 “Biostatistics, data processing, communication technology”.

Data transfer must be conducted in accordance with the regulations, which forms part of the VCU testing reports. The relevant reporting form is the basis for the form and content of testing results saved on data storage media. In addition to transferring data in the form of a report portfolio (or as ASCII data), it can be transferred as PIAF testing export files. The relevant reporting forms are the basis for the content of these files. Report portfolios and the information saved on data storage media are considered to be original documents and have the legal status of official documents.
